1 1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder sifted
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
2 eggs large
1 teaspoon orange extract
1 cup hot water
Instructions
Measure all 10 ingredients into large bowl in order given. Beat on low until moistened. Beat on medium for about 1 minute, scraping down sides of bowl, until smooth. Turn into greased 9x9 inch square pan. Bake in 350 F. oven for about 35 minutes until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan for 5 minutes before turning out onto wire rack to cool.
